Big Bags for Cold Weather
What’s with the weather lately? It’s been ridiculously cold to the point where I’ve been constantly told that I dress like I’m going to Big Bear every day. Everywhere I go and on top of my big poofy jacket that I wear daily, I have to carry with me an extra sweater/jacket, a scarf, and my leg warmers (they’re my life saver, seriously), plus my chloraseptic cough drops in case I get a sore throat. I wish I had gloves, but pockets will have to suffice for now. How do I carry all these? The answer to my life is to carry a big carrier. With the weather like this, I canNOT go out without carrying a bag big enough to hold at least my scarf and leg warmers. If my bag can additionally carry my sweater, I’m extra smiles.
Now, you might be confused right now seeing as there was a blog posted here a couple of days ago about how big bags are “outta here”, but I disagree. But that’s just my opinion. That particular blog was talking about ridiculously big bags that make your body look disproportional, but I’m not talking about those bags that look big enough to fit a sleeping bag. If it’s that big, you might as well sleep in it. One just needs a bag big enough to fit a large scarf or a small jacket for convenience. Or if you’re one of those people, just get a bag big enough to hide a soda or two to bring to the movie theaters.
I know there’s always a debate of whether to carry a small bag versus a big bag. It definitely took me a long time to switch over to carrying a big bag. Small bags are cute and light, whereas some people think big bags are a hassle to carry around since they are so heavy from carrying one’s life around. But once I switched over to carrying bigger bags, I loved them for their space. Yeah, it might be a tad more difficult looking for your keys slash lip balm slash cell phone slash anything small in your big bag, but if I don’t have to carry a jacket or a scarf in my hands then my life is saved, because honestly I have a very bad habit of losing things that were in my hands 5 minutes ago. Now where did my chapstick go?
