I was at the Duty Free Shops at the airport the other day and was browsing through the handbags they offered. The handbags displayed were not too appealing, so I started to look at the small leather accessories. The one that I liked the most was the Ferragamo Icona French Wallet.
This Saffiano leather wallet had a nice vintage look with the signature Gancini logo. There was a snap-button tab that opened to two bill slots, eight card slots, and one ID slot. Dimensions were 4” high by 4.5 inches wide and weighed 5 ounces. The cost was $425. The look was nice; however, the wallet was not to user-friendly.
I had a hard time opening the flap because the large logo was in the way of the flap. You had to lift the logo and pull out the flap simultaneously to get into the wallet. I feel that over time, the metal logo may break from the frequent force applied to lift the flap and the buckle. Other than that, the wallet was wonderful.
Therefore, this was an eye-catchy wallet, but it just wasn’t too practical for everyday use---a very important deal breaker.
