I just got word from Rioni Inc. that they will be launching a new handbag collection by the name of RIONI — Vino. See below for a sneak peek of what is soon to be coming to a store near you!
The RIONI Vino is elegant and one-of-a-kind. The bodies of these bags consist of a Portuguese cork. I was told that this type of cork can only be harvested every 9 years–giving this simplistic material an alluring sense of self. I was also told that this type of cork was environmentally friendly. The reason for this is that cork is made from tree bark that is naturally shedded from a tree. Rather than letting the tree bark fall to the soil, humans harvest it to make cork. When the tree bark sheds to the ground, it devalues the nutrients of its nearby soil--hurting our ecosystem. In another words, when we use this tree bark to make cork, we are saving the environment. Well, I guess all that is left for us to do now is to sit here and wait for the production of these bad puppies!
