A styling Tip for Cross-Body and Shoulder Strap Bags
By now, those who love and follow fashion will be well aware of the fact that smaller, cross-body and shoulder strap bags have once again exploded onto the scene. This is not only a welcome change from the huge, oversized satchel bags that have been dominating the runways for so many seasons now, but also a step in the direction of the practical, something we can all welcome. Yet despite their practicality, cross-body and shoulder strap bags come with a styling conundrum we have not had to think about for several seasons now; one of proportion.
Women who have a larger-sized chest may find it difficult to wear a cross-body bag; the strap may nestle into places that you would rather not emphasize. If this sounds familiar to you, have no fear. The solution to this problem is literally just inches from your hip. If you find that the longer strap of your bag is cutting-across your chest in an awkward manner, simply reposition the bag so that the purse itself sits either behind you, on the flat part of the seat, or just in front on top of your hip bone, facing forward.
This very subtle manipulation offers a bit more support to the bag and lessens the degree to which the bag cuts across the body. It is also a great way to both showcase a beautiful bag (you’re wearing it as an accessory), and provide quick and easy access to the contents of your bag.
