Jimmy Choo was born in Penang, Malaysia into a family that made shoes. He made his first pair of shoes at the age of 11. Pretty amazing! Jimmy worked part-time at a restaurant and as a cleaner at a shoe factory while he was attending college in London. A few years later, he started designing his own shoes and became popular when his shoes were published in Vogue magazine. His fame continues to grow till this day. He is now working on setting up an institute in Malaysia, for he has become an icon for the Malaysian shoemaking society.
