Hermes Croc Farm
Everyone seems to be swooning over Hermes Crocodile bags so much so, that they’ve started breeding their own crocodiles on their own farm in Australia. This move will make much more sense once you hear their stats.
Hermes on average makes around 3,000 crocodile bags every year and the demands seem to continue to grow. It takes three to four crocodiles just to make one Hermes bag. At times customers have to wait several years for a certain bag that on average will cost them about $48,410! Wow, that’s like a brand new car!
Of course PETA has something to say about this. Here it is:“The thought of purposely breeding and killing crocodiles for an outdated, overpriced handbag should make any fashionista’s skin crawl. If Hermes really wants to be a leader in the fashion industry, it should stop killing animals for cold-blooded vanity and use cruelty-free mock croc and fake snake instead...”.I’m not sure how I feel about all of this, but what are your thoughts?
