Paris Fashion Week: Street Style Standouts
The Fall 2017 fashion came to a conclusion last week with the finale of the Paris shows, and as usual, what was going on outside of the invite-only shows once again proved to be at least as interesting as what was coming down the runways, if not more so.
As always, Paris show attendees chose bags that ran the gamut from tiny to statement-making, and everything in-between. However, there were a few notable standouts this year that are worth mentioning.
The Chloe Nile Bag - $1,700The Chloe Nile bag is an interesting hybrid designer handbag. It's kind of like the love-child of a 1970-inspired bracelet bag and the western-inspired minimalist “saddle” designs that have been so popular for Chloe these past several fashion cycles. That in and of itself would normally be enough to whet any fashionista's appetite for a bag, but with the Nile, there's more. Perhaps what makes this bag so popular more than its uniqueness is actually its versatility; it can be worn as a bracelet-style clutch, or worn with a detachable shoulder strap as wither a shoulder or a cross-body bag.
The Chanel Boy Bag — Starting at approximately $2,500Chanel's Boy Bag has long been a solid favorite of celebrities and fashionistas alike, and it's easy to see why. The classic, boxy Chanel shape melds beautifully with everything from quiet, subdued leathers to some of the more flamboyant fabric and print designs that many of the Paris attendees chose to accent their looks. The result is a perfectly whimsical yet edgy and modern appeal that shows no sign of dropping-off in popularity any time soon!
